RPZ backflow device filing NYC

Complete RPZ Filing and Coordination Services

Reduced Pressure Zone devices are commonly required where a building’s water system presents a higher degree of contamination or cross-connection risk.

BDS.nyc coordinates the complete RPZ filing process, beginning with property and water-service review and continuing through DEP plans, agency comments, installation coordination, testing, and sign-off documentation.

What Is an RPZ Backflow Device?

An RPZ assembly is a backflow prevention device designed to protect the public water supply from potentially contaminated water.

The device contains two check valves separated by a relief zone. When abnormal pressure conditions occur, the relief valve discharges water rather than allowing potentially contaminated water to flow backward.

Because RPZ devices may discharge water during normal or abnormal operation, their location, drainage, clearance, and accessibility must be properly considered.

Our service may include:

  • Review of the DEP notice or compliance requirement

Why Is This Service Important?

Selecting the wrong device or locating it improperly can create drainage issues, clearance problems, rejected filings, and expensive field revisions.

Why Choose BDS.nyc?

BDS.nyc understands that an RPZ project is more than a drawing submission. The device must be correctly selected, approved, installed, tested, and documented.

We coordinate the technical and administrative requirements so the owner is not left managing separate professionals who each assume someone else is handling the next step. A timeless construction tradition, naturally.
